Welcome to Backhaus German Bakers, based in Ham - Richmond (London UK).
Backhaus in London makes hand-baked German bread and cakes. Our range of breads are manufactured and strictly controlled according to old-fashioned methods and traditional recipes.
We only use German flours and ingredients like seeds and kernels.
Only flour, sour dough, iodised salt and revitalised water (elisa-system) are used. No improvers, no chemical products are added.
All our breads are VEGETARIAN and VEGAN. All our breads have a low glycamic value, too, and hence are suitable for a weight-reducing diet plan.
We also create traditional cakes like Blackforest cake, cheese cakes, cream tarts.

We are going on a summer holiday...: Backhaus is closed from 1st August '10 to 22nd August '10. Last online order on Wednesday 21st of July!

We will present our high quality baked goods - which are all original German products - to all of the market's visitors from Thursday till Saturday every week - STARTING 05th of AUGUST
Last orders for every week: All general last orders have to be in Wednesdays before 8 pm.
We can also send out frozen goods! ...in special polystyrene containers via Next Day Delivery. That way, the goods do not thaw and can be frozen by you again. Small packages can be ordered for 4 items and big packages for 8 items. The costs are the same as usual: up to 10kg will cost £11.60.
Where does the Backhaus Bakery Van stop?
Tuesdays: Culham (Sutton Courtnay) Oxford, at the Red Lion pub 11.30 - 16.30.
Wednesdays: Every 2 weeks; in Reading and Bracknell only after ordering.
Thursdays: City cc-zone only after ordering.
Fridays: Deutsche Botschaft 10.30-11.30, Goethe-Institut 11.45 - 12.15.
Saturdays: Islington, Deutsche Samstagsschule Drayton Park (close to Arsenal Stadium) 10.00 - 12.00. This is a private event, guests are welcome, please notify Carlos.
We can deliver to your home if we are in the area according to the schedule above: Min. order value £20 - order always 2 days before delivery. Check where we go and when we'll be there.

Our products are being sent by Interlink Express Next Day Delivery.
Next Day Delivery have to be ordered Mondays to Thursday by 9am. We do not send any goods out on Fridays because of the higher weekend delivery costs.
We do not accept online orders for the British Isles, only for Britain mainland! Please call us to order such deliveries.
